Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.

I worked out for the first time since I started WW today. Kathleen and I biked to the UNT rec. I gave her a tour (She went to TWU) then we got on the elliptical. Eric met up with us about 15 minutes later. I did:

  • 35 minutes on the elliptical
  • 10 laps upstairs - 6 walking, 4 jogging
  • 20 minutes on the stationary bike
  • 40 minutes total biking from my house to the rec and back
I gotta tell you it felt good. I know it's because it's my first day, but I'm going to ride this emotional high as long as I can. I earned 6 activity points with weight watchers.

After we finished working out, Mical brought Kathleen and I our swimsuits. Kathleen, Mical, Eric, and I went swimming in the leisure pool and hot tub. SO FUN! It felt like a reward for working out. Kat and I did leg kicks some of the time and we also played basketball in the pool, but I didn't count that toward my activity for the day. A couple friends and I are planning to start working out Mon-Fri at 5:15 p.m. I hope it all works out. I just love having company, even if they're just working out next to me while listening to their mp3 player.

If you'd like to join us on our workout schedule PLEASE DO! Contact me via email, this blog, or facebook. We'd love to have you.

I had a couple burritos on whole wheat tortillas with salmon, zucchini, red onion, mushroom, and scallion tonight for dinner. Oh and roasted cherry tomatoes. Sooooo good. I also had a celebration cream soda! It's nice to have the points left and not feel bad about having a coke for the first time in a week.

P.S. To find the best elliptical at the UNT rec, enter the front doors, turn left at the back ellipticals, stop at the last one. It has a GREAT view of the men lifting weights on the bench. What? I forgot my headphones so I couldn't watch tv...

I'm not entirely sure I approve of this choice of elliptical machine location...
